What is Physical Therapy?

Pediatric physical therapy is the treatment of children (typically between 0-18 years old) to improve their daily physical functions and reach their full potential. It is a specialized area of rehabilitation that can help children with injuries, genetic conditions, developmental disorders, coordination issues, nerve and muscle conditions, and motor skill difficulties. Pediatric physical therapist are specialist in childhood development and disorders and use everyday objects, specialized equipment, exercise, and activities to challenge and teach each child according to their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses.


It is therapy that is used to preserve, enhance, or restore movement and physical function
